The Diploma in Recruitment Management (DipRM) is a degree-level qualification designed for experienced recruiters ready to step into strategic leadership roles. Covering recruitment, sales, business, and team management, it builds personal and professional effectiveness while deepening industry insight.

Study from home at your own pace, with six core units and two optional units from five choices. You can also take individual units to address specific skill gaps. Exams are held online, and you have up to four years to complete the qualification. On passing, you’ll earn the DipRM designation and enjoy 12 months of REC Professional membership (MREC)

If you don't want to commit to the entire qualification, you can enrol on one unit at a time to fill specific skills gaps. While we recommend completion of the DipRM in full, each unit is assessed and awarded independently.

The whole course is £2,970 + VAT per person or you can enrol on individual units for £495 + VAT per unit.

We recommend booking no more than two units per exam cycle.

  • RECTC 4-1 Principles of recruitment sales 

Develop the skills needed to win and grow business in a competitive recruitment market. This unit explores consultative selling, client buying behaviours, effective communication techniques, recruitment tendering and strategies for building credibility and long-term client relationships.  

  • RECTC 4-2 Principles of legal and ethical requirements in recruitment  

Gain a thorough understanding of the legal and regulatory framework that governs recruitment. You'll explore employment law, compliance, contracts, professional standards and the ethical considerations that help recruitment businesses operate responsibly and reduce risk.  

  • RECTC 4-3 Principles of relationship management in recruitment  

Learn how to build, develop, and maintain strong professional relationships with both clients and candidates. This unit focuses on networking, stakeholder engagement, client retention, candidate management and creating sustainable partnerships that deliver long-term business success. 

  • RECTC 4-6 Principles of recruitment resource strategies  

Explore how organisations identify workforce needs and develop effective recruitment strategies. You'll learn how to align recruitment activity with business objectives, create successful resourcing plans and evaluate recruitment outcomes to improve future performance.

  • RECTC 4-10 Understanding recruitment contracts 

Build confidence in navigating the various contracts used across the recruitment industry. This unit covers candidate and client contracts, legal obligations, employment status, compliance requirements and best practice for managing contractual relationships.  

  • RECTC 3-6 Understanding the principles of assessing people  

Develop a deeper understanding of candidate assessment and selection techniques. Learn how to plan and conduct effective interviews, use assessment methods appropriately, minimise bias and make informed hiring decisions that support successful placements.
