REC appoints REC members and independent members to its committees to provide independence, impartiality and wide experience.  The REC is now looking for candidates from outside the recruitment industry and also from our membership to join governance committees. Professional Standards Committee

The REC is seeking two new members to join its Professional Standards Committee (PSC). This is an important opportunity to help uphold the integrity of the recruitment industry by ensuring members meet the highest professional standards. 

  The PSC investigates complaints and potential breaches of the REC’s Code of Professional Practice, with the authority to impose disciplinary sanctions where necessary. Committee members play a key role in maintaining standards across the sector.

Audit & Risk Committee

The REC is looking for two new members to join its Audit & Risk Committee. One spot is available for a person from our membership community; and the second spot is for someone from outside the industry.  Applicants must have strong financial management experience. This is a vital opportunity for individuals passionate about good governance to contribute to the REC’s financial integrity, risk management, and data oversight. 

We’re seeking professionals with strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to transparency to help ensure the REC’s systems and controls remain robust and effective.

Remuneration and Appointments Committee

The REC is seeking two new members to join its Remuneration and Appointments Committee. This is a unique opportunity for professionals, both from within the REC membership and from outside the recruitment industry, to play a key role in ensuring strong governance, independence, and fairness in our decision-making processes. 

We’re looking for individuals with sound judgment, impartiality, and a commitment to good governance to help shape the strategic direction of the REC.  

Two spots are available on this committee, one from our membership community and the second from other industries. Candidates must have people and talent management expertise.

Key dates

Closing date for all the roles is Tuesday 27 May 2025 

Shortlisting will take place on Monday 9 June  

Interview dates: 

  • Remuneration and Appointments Committee: Thursday 19 June 2025 
  • Professional Standards Committee: Monday 23 June 2025; and possibly also Friday 20 June – am only) 
  • Audit & Risk Committee member: Monday 23 June
