Contract 4 - Terms of engagement for agency workers (contract for services)

This template contract is for you to use with your candidates when you are doing temporary recruitment, (supplying staff to your clients). It includes all of the terms that you are legally required to agree with candidates before you provide any work-finding services to them.

This contract was updated in January 2024 to reflect the amendments to the Working Time Regulations 1998 which came into effect on 1 January 2024. Further information can be found on our Frequently Asked Questions on the Amendments to the Working Time Regulations 1998.

This contract has been updated in January 2026 to reflect the introduction of entitlement to Statutory Sick Pay from day 1 of employment and the removal of the minimum earnings requirement for eligibility under the Employment Rights Act 2025. This is due to come into force in April 2026. This has also been updated to include the Employment Rights Act 2025 (ERA 2025) amendment to the Trade Union Labour  Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992 (TULRCA 1992) providing workers with the right to a statement informing them of their right to join a trade union which comes into force in October 2026.
