Our campaigns make a difference to policy decisions affecting recruiters. In 2021 we successfully lobbied for digital Right to Work checks to stay – carrying on when others had given up, and securing the change for you.

We secured dozens of Parliamentarian and Ministerial meetings to push industry-critical agendas, and we’ve been behind all of the positive mentions of recruitment agencies this year in Parliament. We’ve had a record year in the media too – no-one has the capability to speak out for you like the REC does.

Our landmark #RecruitmentForRecovery campaign has given us a platform to campaign for change, with deeper and more direct engagement with government.

Our commentary is highly sought after and features regularly in all national and trade media. On average, each month we’re mentioned 59 times in the national press, giving us the ability to raise awareness of the issues that are most important to you, and changing public perception of the value of quality recruiters.

  • The Report on Jobs gives analysis of permanent and temporary recruitment, vacancies and earnings in all regions and sectors of the UK labour market (which usually costs £750 for non-members).
  • The Jobs Recovery Tracker helps recruiters, businesses, and policymakers see how the jobs market is evolving as the economy recovers from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. 
  • JobsOutlook details the hiring intentions of UK employers, featuring analysis of workforce demand and candidate shortages across all sectors.

In addition, REC Corporate members can access Croner legal expenses insurance, providing protection against the potential expense of a tribunal case, tax inquiry or legal dispute.
