Jobs Recovery Tracker

Research

The REC has launched a new Jobs Recovery Tracker, which aims to help recruiters, businesses and policymakers see how the jobs market is evolving as the economy recovers from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This research uses job postings data, provided by our partner Emsi, to spot signs of growth in different local areas and occupations across the UK. We will be updating this data regularly during the coming months to show where the hiring hotspots are, and what job roles are in high demand.

The latest Jobs Recovery Tracker reveals that in the number of job postings in the UK continued to rise in the last week of August. In the week of 24-30 August there were 1.12 million active job postings in the UK, up from 1.10 million in the first week of the month. This growth was focused in north-west England, Northern Ireland and Wales.

Use the interactive visualisations below to explore the latest data from the Jobs Recovery Tracker.
