Jobs Recovery Tracker
The REC has launched a new Jobs Recovery Tracker, which aims to help recruiters, businesses and policymakers see how the jobs market is evolving as the economy recovers from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This research uses job postings data, provided by our partner Emsi, to spot signs of growth in different local areas and occupations across the UK. We will be updating this data regularly during the coming months to show where the hiring hotspots are, and what job roles are in high demand.
The latest Jobs Recovery Tracker reveals that the number of active job postings in the UK continues to rise as the lockdown eases. In the week of 6-12 July there were 1.05 million active job postings in the UK, up from 990,000 in the last week of June. There were also 106,000 new job postings in the week of 6-12 July, 14,000 more than the last week of June.
