Chair of the REC Board – Applications Open

Are you our next Chair of the Board?

The current chair of the REC Board, Michelle Mellor, is coming to the end of her fixed term and we are recruiting the next Chair through an open process available to the full membership. The role of the Board is to act as the key forum for guidance to the REC on purpose, product offerings, market changes and intelligence. The Chair helps to ensure the REC remains effective, ethical and strategically focused as the labour market and the talent ecosystem continue to change.

The opportunity

Chairing the REC Board is a chance to take a leadership role in the governance of a trusted organisation with nearly a century of history. The Chair provides leadership to ensure the Board is high-performing, well-governed and focused on long-term impact for members. The Chair builds trust across the Board, the executive team and the wider membership, and sets the tone for constructive challenge, collaboration and transparency.

This is a great opportunity for a senior leader to shape the future of the recruitment industry and the wider labour market by influencing policy and practice, while strengthening their own profile as a sector-leading voice. The role also offers the chance to steward a long-standing member organisation so it meets the needs of a modern, diverse membership.
