Model Policy 36 - Sickness Absence Notification Policy

This policy has been drafted in light of the introduction of entitlement to Statutory Sick Pay from day 1 of employment and the removal of the minimum earnings requirement for eligibility under the Employment Rights Act 2025. This came into force on 6th April 2026. This policy is to be used with temporary workers who you engage on a contract for services.
