REC statement on CBI allegations

Press releases

Commenting on the allegations about CBI, Neil Carberry, Chief Executive of REC, said:

“The latest allegations about conduct and criminality by CBI staff are abhorrent. It is essential that victims are properly supported, and that action is taken by the CBI Board to ensure this is in place.

“Given the continuing scale and substance of the reports we are hearing about now, the REC has decided to step back from engagement with the CBI at this time. The REC Board will review our membership status, based on the detail of the investigations and clear evidence of action to prevent these issues arising again.”
