Few other updates

  • In response to the new government rules around vaccination at care homes in England, Acas has published guidance to help employees and employers understand the changes. You can find more details on the REC’s back to work HUB here.
  • Our legal business partners Brabners recently published some information on their website about the frontier worker permit scheme - which is very useful. A link to this has been added to the right to work section on the legal guide – FAQ: How does the Frontier Worker Permit apply to EU nationals?
  • Government is amending the Statutory Sick Pay (Coronavirus) (Funding of Employers’ Liabilities) Regulations 2020, and the Statutory Sick Pay (Coronavirus) (Funding of Employers’ Liabilities) (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2020 where employers’ ability to reclaim Statutory Sick Pay costs with effect from 30 September 2021. Please see The REC's guide to SSP related to Coronavirus  for more details.
