In the wake of the recent Transport for London and National Rail strikes and with many more sectors planning to follow suit during the summer, the Secretary of State for BEIS, Kwasi Kwarteng, laid before Parliament a Statutory Instrument under the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses (Amendment) Regulations 2022.

The Statutory Instrument has been approved and repeals Regulation 7 of the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 (the Conduct Regulations).

Regulation 7 currently stops employment businesses from supplying temporary workers to cover the work of employees involved in strike action.
