Set up your REC Corporate membership

Create your REC website account

You’ll need to create a web account to access the REC’s legal support and other member-exclusive content.

  1. When you click on My account, you’ll be asked to log in
  2. When logging in for the first time, use your email address in both the email and password fields. You’ll then be sent an email with a password reset link.
  3. Follow the instructions in the email to access your account. (Top tip – whitelist all emails from @rec.uk.com to stop these going into your junk or clutter folders.)

Once you have created an account, you will be able to access:

  • Your company's REC membership number, which you will need to quote to access the REC Legal Helpline.
  • Your subscription details and invoices.

If you get stuck – here’s a short film to help you log in for the first time.

Set your marketing preferences

Now that you are logged in, you can update your details if you need to. Within the My account section, click on Preferences to update your marketing preferences – to make sure we send you the updates that are most important to you.

Here's a short film which shows a step-by-step demo:

Set up your colleagues

As the “Primary contact” for your buisness, you are the only person who can manage your company’s membership details.

You will be able to see the people in your business who have access to the REC website and services. What’s more – you can add and delete users as you prefer! You can also choose to give users access to the REC Legal Helpline.

If you want to set up branches, contact our customer engagement team

Take the REC Compliance Assessment

As a condition of REC membership, please be aware that ${Recipient.account.name[0]!"your company"} is required to take and pass the REC Compliance Assessment within the next 4 weeks.

Within the next 48 hours, your named compliance contact will receive an email inviting them to take the Compliance Assessment. We ask every Corporate member to complete the assessment every two years –it’s nothing to worry about!

Once you have completed your Compliance Assessment:

  • You will be able to download your REC membership certificate and membership logos, which you can add to your website and marketing collateral
  • Your company will appear in the REC Member Directory.
