The greatest risk to any membership organisation is in failing to keep step with the changes that their customers are experiencing. We know that recruitment is changing in the face of new challenges and opportunities. And as the industry evolves, the REC must change too.
We want to be recognised as the single destination for everything a recruiter needs, be that career guidance and training, support in setting up and running an agency, or legal and compliance advice. Our new website helps us achieve that aim.
This was an investment decision made in 2018 because we realised our digital support for members had fallen woefully behind what you needed from us.
The team have worked so hard on this and I’m really proud of them. I hope you enjoy using our new website and please let us know your feedback, so we can keep improving.

This film explains how to log in if you are a member of the REC.
Lots of our content is available to everyone, but to get to the member-only content, including our legal guide, you will need to log in – just as you did to the old REC website.
- If you are a Corporate member, use your work email address.
- If you are an REC Professional, use the email address we have associated with your account.
When you log in to the new website for the first time, we will send you an email to verify your account. Occasionally these end up in your junk folders, so please check there! The first time you login, please note you need to select forgot password to allow a password reset to occur.

In this film, we explain how you can manage your company’s membership details.
If you are the lead REC contact for your business, you'll be able to see the people in your business that have access to the REC website and services. What’s more – you can add and delete users as you prefer! You can also choose to give users access to the REC Legal Helpline.
You can also access all the branch records we currently hold for your business. For some of you, it might be a bit out of date as it will only have been updated when you completed that section on your essential information form.
If you have any trouble using these features, let us know and we’ll be happy to help. In your email, tell us:
- your name and briefly describe what you were trying to do or find on the website
- if relevant – tell us the name of the company you work for and if you know it, your REC membership number
