With recovery from the pandemic a clear focus across the country and in London in particular, the REC has signed a joint letter with London First and several other organisations highlighting the need for assistance to help businesses in the capital recover. This letter was sent to Gavin Williamson, Education Secretary, and was featured in City AM.
This letter sets out several proposals to the Education Secretary to aid the economic recovery in London including:

Whilst this letter was driven by London First, and therefore has a London-centric approach, many of the proposals would have a wider impact on the UK if they were implemented. Changes to the apprenticeship levy, for example, would have a UK-wide impact and have a scope beyond London that would benefit all REC members.
