EmmaJane Albertini from Elite National Recruiters Shares Her Recruitment Story
Your recruitment career
How did you get into recruitment?
I was working as an estate agent in South-West London and was asked if I would consider a career in recruitment, I was ready for a change and have never looked back.
Where do you currently work?
Elite National Recruiters. Working between London and North Wales.
What do you love about the job?
I love the social side of recruitment, interacting with different people daily and understanding them and their needs. The role of a recruiter is also so varied which means that it simply isn't possible to get bored of the daily grind, no day is ever the same you are continuously facing different obstacles and realising new opportunities.
Would you recommend that job seekers consider recruitment as a career?
If you are a friendly, approachable, outgoing person who enjoys meeting/chatting to new people every day, recruitment is for you.
However, you must be confident that you not only have the personal skills required, but also the will to achieve. Recruitment is not easy but if you are determined, enthusiastic, hardworking and outgoing, it's a career you should consider.
What keeps you in this industry?
It's a fast-paced industry, constantly changing and evolving, it's exciting to be a part of it.
Can you give us a great candidate experience story?
Early in my recruitment career I placed a candidate in an administrative role, she was a perfect fit and the client gave her a permanent contract. Over the years she has grown and developed within the company and is now at management level, making hiring decisions herself. Due to the relationship we have kept over the years and her firsthand experience of how Elite treat candidates, she now uses us for all her recruitment requirements.
