As part of our Spending Review submission, the REC has written to the Rt Hon Nadhim Zahawi MP, Secretary of State for Education about addressing the imbalance in National Skills Fund-supported opportunities.

Ahead of Budget 2021, the REC has written to the Rt Hon Simon Clarke MP, Chief Secretary to the Treasury highlighting the value of the recruitment industry, suggesting areas where government should invest for the future and some of the key interventions it can make:

  1. Invest in the workforce
  2. Ensure we have efficient and effective unemployment support in place
  3. Ensure regulation supports productivity growth and levelling up
  4. Focus on a recovery for the whole workforce
