About Dave - Dave Pye is an executive business coach and mentor – his focus being specifically within the recruitment and recruitment services sector for nearly 30 years.
He works with business leaders, coaching a blend of courage and humility, concentrating on three specific character traits: the restless, the ambitious, or the disruptive.
He takes a very practical, hands-on approach with leaders, who sometimes need an injection of fresh thinking to unlock potential within their company, employees, or within themselves.
Dave has worked with a variety of business leaders in his various roles as a CEO — from boutique, niche businesses with less than 10 people, to leading one of the UK's greatest staffing organisations, employing over 800 people through re-branding, acquisition and growth.
During his recruitment career Dave has had full fiduciary responsibility as CEO of an AIM listed company and grown a successful staffing business in Europe. During his time as a consultant within the sector, he has worked with private equity organisations looking to drive performance within recruitment businesses.
He has also served on the executive team of the REC Technology Sector Group for the past 10 years, speaking at a variety of industry events and contributing to business growth across the sector. In 2016, Dave and his business partner formed NextGear to create a coaching organisation with a collective of 18 business coaches and a number of specific products used in line with the REC.
