Our REC Audited scheme is the most comprehensive regulatory audit of its kind. It covers compliance as well as the REC Code of Professional Practice. REC Audited Education ensures the relevant checks are carried out when recruiting teachers. This accolade will enable schools and education providers to be confident that they are using an accredited supplier, independently verified, putting standards at the center of their business.
The audit goes way beyond just compliance, requiring agencies to demonstrate that they operate best practice in areas such as customer service, staff development, diversity and client management.
How much does it cost?
Achieving the gold standard in education recruitment costs just £1,350+VAT, and then £1,150+VAT every two years for renewal. REC members that hold the REC Audited Education accreditation will not have to complete the compliance test on renewal of their REC membership.

Background: Quality Mark - England
From 1st April 2013 the Department for Education’s Quality Mark ceased to exist. We were disappointed that the Department for Education decided to end the scheme but after consulting with members, local authorities, teaching unions and school organisations, we decided and are proud to offer REC Audited Education, building on the legacy of the Quality Mark.
