This election is a fantastic opportunity for members to engage and ensure their opinions are properly represented in our Council.  As the voice of the recruitment industry, we offer best-in-class support to recruiters on key issues, champion brilliant recruitment, speak up for recruitment companies and support economic growth.

This year the REC Council has eight vacancies to elect: six corporate directors and two individual directors. We have a strong field of candidates, including two existing Directors seeking re-appointment, our Chair Chris Moore and the Chair of our Professional Standards Committee, Rebekah Handford.

 


How do I vote for the REC Council Elections 2019?

1- You will receive an email from Electoral Reform Services who is administering the 2019 Council Elections.

2- Click on the link sent in the email which will take you to the election hub page where you can vote and view the candidate’s information. To vote, click the Cast your vote now button. The link you receive is unique and it should not be forwarded on to anyone else.

3- Select your candidate and cast your vote.

When is the deadline to vote?

Voting closes on Tuesday 18 June 2019 at 5:00 pm.

Can I vote by email?

No, you can't vote by email. You will receive an email from Electoral Reform Services with a unique link to vote. If you have only provided us with a generic email address such as “info@” or “enquiries@”, please send us an email to info@rec.uk.com to provide us with the direct contact details for your main corporate company contact to ensure you don’t miss out on your chance to vote in the council elections. 

Can I vote for corporate and individual directors?

No, REC members are entitled to vote for vacant corporate director positions, and IRP members can vote for individual director positions.

How do corporate members vote?

If you are a corporate member of the REC, you are entitled to one vote per company and we will be sending all voting information to the main contact email address you have provided to us. 

When will the results be announced?

The elected results will be announced in our Annual General Meeting, which will take place on Thursday 20 June 2019 at 12:00 pm at the REC's London offices.

Annual General Meeting 

We are delighted to be joined by one of Britain’s leading economic commentators, Rain Newton-Smith of the CBI, who will give us an insight into key trends for the year ahead in the jobs market and the wider economy.

The formal meeting will be chaired by Chris Moore, Chair of the REC, with Chief Executive Neil Carberry reporting on the performance of the business.

The opening presentation will be followed by the introduction of the Report of the Directors and the Financial Statements for 2018 and the election of 6 corporate directors and 2 individual directors. See the complete agenda here.
