Hi, everyone. It's Neil from the REC here. We know that 2024 has been a year full of challenges for recruitment and staffing businesses. But I want to take a moment as we approach the end of the year to celebrate the resilience that the industry has shown this year in getting through what has been a tough period in terms of market conditions but also big changes of shape in our markets.
What we've been doing at the REC through the year is supporting those networks, sharing the latest intelligence as we always do with members, getting people together, including at our in-person annual conference and making sure that we're picking up some of the big discussions you need to have like how to position your clients effectively, or how to build business development skills in your consultant base to have a successful business in this new world.
Going into 2025 our focus is to be right by your side because we think '25 has more opportunities to come. There are of course, always challenges out there in business, but there's lots to move forward on.
We're really looking forward to sharing with you our brand new training suite which every corporate member will have access to as part of their membership, 800 videos, bite sized to help your consultants build their skills to compete in this new market.
Of course, we're running the best suite of events in the recruitment game, including our in-person conference again next summer, do come and join us for that.
Our business advice offer is stepping up even further with a brand new AI hub on the website for you to look at all the latest technology.
And, of course, we are by far the highest profile industry association for recruitment, staffing and talent firms. We're the ones in the room with Government. We know how tough the budget feels with the NI changes, the changes on umbrella company regulation and the employment bill. The REC is the body that has the capacity to have the conversations that you need with Government on that, but we need your support to do that. So we're going to be by your side throughout the whole of 2025.
