How well do you know your local labour market?
We’ve partnered with Emsi UK, the labour market analysts, to provide our members with job stats for each LEP in England, and Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Whether you are looking to diversify, specialise in certain sectors or expand into new territories, we hope this data will help you to have strategic conversations with clients about the trends affecting your local area.
The South of England consists of 17 LEPs. The South has added a net total of 761,000 jobs in the ten years since the start of the last recession. In 2018, a net total of 72,900 jobs were added.
Hertfordshire ranks at the top for jobs growth between 2013 and 2018 both within the region and nationally, followed by Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. One of the stand out features of these two local labour markets has been the jobs growth in the wholesale, retail and motor repair industries; and the accommodation and food service sector, respectively.
