How well do you know your local labour market?
We’ve partnered with Emsi UK, the labour market analysts, to provide our members with job stats for each LEP in England, and Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Whether you are looking to diversify, specialise in certain sectors or expand into new territories, we hope this data will help you to have strategic conversations with clients about the trends affecting your local area.
The Midlands consists of 13 LEPs. The Midlands has added a net total of 451,100 jobs in the ten years since the start of the last recession. In 2018, a net total of 3,800 jobs were added.
Worcestershire, and Cambridgeshire and Peterborough rank at the top for jobs growth between 2013 and 2018 in the region. Notably, both LEPs also rank in the top three for jobs growth nationally. One of the stand out features of these local labour markets has been the jobs growth in the transportation and storage industry; and the accommodation and food service sector, respectively.
