Winners of the 2019 IRP Awards Announced As REC Reveals New Brand
Press releases
Eighteen recruiters and recruitment companies celebrated success last night at the eleventh annual awards ceremony of the REC’s Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP).
The IRP Awards recognise professional excellence and the inspirational work carried out by the recruitment industry’s brightest stars. In all, ninety-three outstanding individuals and businesses were shortlisted across categories such as newcomer of the year and best company to work for. The full list of award winners can be found below.
In its eleven years, IRP Awards have recognised the achievements of over two hundred recruiters. This was the final ceremony under this name. The IRP will now be known as 'REC Professionals' as part of the REC’s new brand, unveiled at the awards. The new look and feel is designed to reflect the dynamic, modern and professional industry that the REC represents.
The REC also announced St. Giles Trust as its charity partner for the coming year. The Trust supports people who face severe disadvantage to find jobs, homes and the support they need to be positive contributors in their communities.
REC Chief Executive Neil Carberry said:
“We are proud of the industry we represent and we owe it to our members to be as dynamic and forward looking as they are. Our new brand is designed to put our members first in every respect. We will launch a new website early in 2020 which will support you with easy access to the clear and unparalleled advice and legal guidance members want.
“No matter what the next few years brings for the jobs market and recruitment industry, we will ensure you are informed, prepared and ahead of the curve.”
Congratulating the awards entrants and winners, Carberry said:
“In uncertain times, brilliant recruiters set themselves apart. The IRP Awards recognise this. Being shortlisted for the IRP Awards is a huge achievement in itself and a cause for celebration! The skill and professionalism you show are at the heart of our economy. To those of you who have made it into the winner’s hall of fame, congratulations!”
The ceremony took place at the Royal Lancaster hotel in London and was hosted by BBC sports presenter Colin Murray.
