The REC would like to say congratulations to all the students who have undertaken the Institute of Recruitment Practice’s (IRP) Certificate in Recruitment Practice and the Diploma in Recruitment Practice during 2012.
2012 has been a bumper year for IRP qualifications with 1250 exams being sat throughout the year by recruiters keen to boost their skills and professional capability.
The REC’s partnership with the UK National Business Skills body and the Skills CFA to lead the development of the first ever Advanced and Higher Level Apprenticeship in recruitment is well underway.
The apprenticeships will be at Level 3 and Level 4 of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) and will include both the knowledge based QCF qualification and a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) competency based qualification. The REC will be making further announcements in the New Year.
In addition to the qualifications, 2012 has seen the IRP grow and develop to meet the needs of the modern recruitment community. The IRP has expanded its social media community, boosted engagement with members at regional events and celebrated the top talent within the recruitment industry at the annual IRP Awards.
The IRP Advocacy programme, which allows companies to sponsor their staff through IRP membership, has seen a healthy increase in the numbers of companies joining, which shows that they are committed to raising and establishing standards and positioning recruitment as a reputable and credible profession.
The IRP team looks forward to working with our members old and new in 2013 and we will keep you updated on the many interesting projects and developments unfolding in the New Year.
