RITs o’clock – Using data to build industry voice and take your business forward
Research & Data 24th Sep 2019

Recruiters are working harder than ever to match the right people to each role. We can see that from the number of placements made and the number of lives transformed as a result of the brilliant recruitment services. The recruitment sector is bigger than ever despite increasing challenges, but we need your help to showcase our contribution to the UK economy and labour market. Feeding into the annual Recruitment Industry Trends (RITs) report is good for the industry and provides a crucial heads-up and benchmarking opportunities for individual businesses taking part.

Why is RITs so important?

RITs is the only study of its kind for the recruitment industry and demonstrates the strength of our industry. In 2017/18, the industry was worth a staggering £35.7 billion. We placed over a million people into permanent roles and ensured that a further million were on temporary and contract assignments on any given day. This data helps us to influence policymakers, the business community, the media and other stakeholders in order to promote and garner support on campaigns that are important to you.

This analysis is also used by the World Employment Confederation to place us in the top 10 recruitment industries globally.

How can RITs help you to grow your business?

Leading recruitment businesses are increasingly using industry and jobs market data to make strategic decisions and win new business. RITs offers recruitment industry leaders access to unique market intelligence to:

  • make better decisions for your business and identify new opportunities including diversifying and specialising in certain sectors;
  • benchmark your business in the recruitment industry, see where you rank against your competitors and develop your strategy accordingly;
  • become strategic partners to existing clients by advising them on labour market trends, challenges and opportunities;
  • demonstrate labour market expertise in conversations with prospective clients and win new business.

How to take part and complete the survey now

This year we made the survey even easier to complete. It should only take between 10-12 minutes to complete and you may leave and re-enter the survey at your convenience. You can also share the link with colleagues who may be better suited to answer certain questions. Your participation will remain strictly anonymous and individual answers will not be disclosed.

All those participating in the survey will receive a range of benefits including early market insight and opportunities to generate thought leadership pieces and blogs on the back of REC research. All participants will also be entered into a prize draw to win a hamper of treats for the office.

Help us to showcase our industry’s role and your business’s contribution to the economy – It’s RITs o’clock!
