Coronavirus (COVID-19) hub

Late on 26 March, Government produced the detailed guidance on the Job Retention Scheme.  It explicitly states it is available to all employers, including recruitment agencies, and covers agency workers on PAYE. The REC legal team’s full analysis of the Job Retention Scheme guidance is available here, alternatively our short summary of the scheme is available here.

This hub is your one-stop shop for everything your recruitment business needs to know about the Coronavirus outbreak. It's structured to give you the latest information and advice on:

  1.  What Government has said, including business support it has offered so far, and what you need to do next. This section includes our latest legal advice.
  2. Our campaign priorities to government – including how you can offer your support.
  3. Broader business advice on managing during times of crisis.

We are regularly updating this page and the linked resources, so bookmark this hub and check the page frequently to ensure you have all the latest information.

What else are we asking Government to do?

Now is the time for our industry to come together to make sure Government prioritise the issues that matter the most to you, your staff, your candidates and your clients. Cashflow has been the overwhelming priority but we know there is going to be more to come. We’re backing #TeamRecruitment to get through this but we need your voice if we are going to make a difference.
