Effective from 28 January 2019
- Where an employer carries out right to work checks, they will now be able to do so manually as normal but also via the Home Office online right to work check service.
- The changes also state that an employer can now accept short form birth or adoption certificates in conjunction with a valid national insurance number. You can access the Home Office guide to right to work checks here.
