REC pays tribute to former CEO
We are sad to announce that Marcia Roberts, the former CEO of the REC, has died following a long and courageous battle with illness.

The Marketing, Media and Creative Sector Group (MMC) was founded in 2007 to champion best practice in recruitment and as a reaction against the unethical methods that some consultancies had been using. Since then we have set up a Code of Practice for recruitment consultancies, a Guidance for Clients and a Guidance for Candidates to form a clear view on what an ethical, professional recruitment consultancy should offer.
MMC has enjoyed rapid growth and many of the major players in our sector have signed up to the Code. We are beginning to see wider business benefits and our aims over the coming months are to:
Have regular breakfast seminars with expert speakers on themes of common interest to our members
Offer networking opportunities to share industry news, problem solve and have a common forum for like-minded professionals
Lobby the REC to make sure that MMC members get the best possible support and representation from the organisation
Keep up to date with business critical issues such as employment law, people development and best practice
We are sad to announce that Marcia Roberts, the former CEO of the REC, has died following a long and courageous battle with illness.
The Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP) is thrilled to announce the launch of a major new lifestyle benefits package tailored exclusively to meet the needs and aspirations of members.
The REC has today signed up to the Government’s Backing Young Britain Campaign to pledge the recruitment industry’s support in helping to prevent a generation of young people being lost to unemployment.
