Your AWR Advisor

The Agency Workers Regulations (AWR) is one of the most significant pieces of legislation ever to hit the UK’s private recruitment industry. The REC has worked closely throughout with the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) and has sought to limit any negative impact on agencies and on demand for temporary staff. Our other priority has been to provide practical tools to help members implement the regulations.

All REC Corporate Members have exclusive access to Your AWR Advisor – the REC’s one stop shop with everything agencies need in order to ensure that their business is compliant and that clients, internal staff and workers are up to speed with the new requirements.

Access the Your AWR Advisor website now (please note: the Your AWR Advisor website is for REC Corporate Members only - you will need to enter your login details to access this site).

AWR compliant Model Documents and Contracts

A key element of the support package for members is the AWR compliant model contracts. To download, free of charge - click here. These are the PAYE terms of engagement (agency workers) and related client terms, contracts 5 to 8 for those limited company contractors who are agency workers (i.e are not genuinely self-employed) plus the Swedish Derogation contracts. They are supplemented by a document which identifies the key changes made to the previous set of contracts.

Produced by the REC’s expert Legal Team and incorporating the official BIS Guidance, the Model Documents and Contracts are an invaluable resource for agencies to ensure they are AWR compliant.

Recruiters in Northern Ireland will be provided with specific support and guidance reflecting the Department of Employment and Learning's (DELNI) own AWR guidance.
