REC shortlisted for prestigious marketing awards

Released on 4 March 2010

The REC is in the running for the fourth year in succession for some of the most sought-after marketing awards in their field.

Memcom, the organisation representing membership marketing and communication professionals, has shortlisted the REC and IRP in its coveted awards for four ground-breaking initiatives this year, including:

Magazine of the year for Recruitment Matters

E-bulletin for its work on sector e-comms

           REC Corporate handbook

Rebranding of REC individual membership to the IRP

Anita Holbrow, the REC’s Director of Marketing, Member Representation and IRP, said of the shortlistings: “This year has been one of significant change against one of the deepest recessions of modern time. To be recognised for the tireless work in these four awards is a fantastic achievement, especially since we are up against some world-class competitors.

“Even as finalists, I am delighted at the recognition. Everyone at the REC and IRP strives to achieve world class delivery for our members, and it is a fitting and just reward for all of those involved in delivering, to be held up as amongst the elite within the UK.”

Other organisations competing for the awards include Royal Pharmaceutical Society, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Royal Society of Medicine, National Council for Voluntary Organisations, and Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
