REC welcomes plans to simplify immigration procedures
Commenting on the framework for simplification, Anne Fairweather, the REC’s Head of Public Policy, said: “Immigration law is very complex, especially if you’re an agency at the sharp end trying to work out if an individual can work. Plans to simplify the system are welcome. Any new systems need to make it clear to agencies who can, and cannot work.
“In addition to this, the Border and Immigration Agency needs to follow up any refusals with action. Recruiters will only have faith in the immigration system if action is taken where individuals are found to be working illegally.”
