More than ever 

In 2009, we were very conscious of the recession’s impact on your business, and although it has been tough for us too, we have actively changed how we deliver your membership so that access to it is more straightforward than ever before.

These changes have been far reaching, and making sure new help was available when you needed it most has been vital. Securing a deal worth £5 million for our members with Jobcentre Plus certainly helped, as did creating a Commission on AWD to influence the Government ahead of the key decisions and gain the praise of CBI as “the best campaign ever undertaken by a trade association”. Of course, we also took a major leap forward in professionalising the industry by launching the Institute of Recruitment Professionals to much acclaim - which has put us on track to make recruitment a chartered profession.
