We’ve partnered with Emsi UK, the labour market analysts, to provide our members with job stats for each LEP in England, and Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Whether you are looking to diversify, specialise in certain sectors or expand into new territories, we hope this data will help you to have strategic conversations with clients about the trends affecting your local area. 

The North of England consists of 11 LEPs. The North has added a net total of 493,700 jobs in the ten years since the start of the last recession. In 2018, a net total of 163,800 jobs were added.

Cheshire and Warrington, and Greater Manchester rank at the top for jobs growth between 2013 and 2018. One of the stand out features of these local labour markets has been the jobs growth in the professional, scientific and technical sector; and the transportation and storage industry, respectively.
