The REC is looking for a new Professional Standards Committee member
The REC Professional Standards Committee (PSC) is the body which considers serious breaches of the REC’s Codes of practice. This voluntary committee has the authority to issue reprimands, compliance orders and reviews and expel companies from REC membership.
Eligible applicants will be:
Running a recruitment agency that is a REC Corporate Member
Working at a senior level within a REC Corporate Member agency
Be a Fellow of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP) and be practicing in recruitment currently
Experience & Skills Required
- Sound knowledge of the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations (2003) and good working practice in terms of candidate care, client care and administration of the recruitment process.
- Committed to the highest standards of conduct and compliance and should be able to demonstrate your involvement in promoting and implementing best practice in the operation of a recruitment business.
- Experience of committee or working group meetings advantageous but not essential.
As a member of the PSC you will be required to attend quarterly meetings held at the REC office (usually March, June, September and December). This will require spending time outside of meetings reviewing case papers.
