Recruitment Industry Benchmarking (RIB) Index

Recruitment Industry Benchmarking (RIB) Index provides RIB members with a proven, measurable system of benchmarking, allowing members to increase the value of their businesses and optimise performance.

The REC has announced a major new strategic partnership with RIB, the purpose of which is to assist REC members to improve their business's performance through access to market intelligence and up to date information for benchmarking purposes.

The RIB Index is a web-based management tool into which recruitment businesses input their monthly data and in return receive a suite of current market intelligence. These comprise up to the minute, bespoke and fully confidential reports which position a specific business’ performance against others within their sector that are measured on criteria such as turnover, profit margins and employee costs.

The power of benchmarking is widely recognised. It focuses on comparing companies' results with those of similar businesses, providing a detailed look at key metrics, leading to a process of continuous improvement.

By using the Index, REC members can:

  • Identify improvements within their business
  • Concentrate on specific areas that will drive sales and profit growth
  • Assist strategic decision-making
  • Increase their business's shareholder value

Recruitment Industry Benchmarking has been trading for eight years and is the only organisation which does real time benchmarking in the recruitment industry.

The partnership between REC and RIB is another example of the REC extending its range of research-based products and services to meet the needs of members.
