REC shortlisted for four Trade Association Forum Best Practice Awards 2009
More glittering prizes could be heading the way of the REC which has been shortlisted in four categories at the annual Trade Association Forum Best Practice Awards 2009.
The REC’s nominations are for:- Best Membership Pack – for its groundbreaking new Corporate Members Handbook
- Social Initiative Award for its Memorandum of Understanding signed with Jobcentre Plus pledging to help more people get back in the jobs market
- Electronic Communication for its streamlined e-comms and sector e-comms
- Website for the continued development and refinement of the REC website
Commenting on becoming finalists in these four categories, REC Chief Executive Kevin Green said: “To be nominated again shows the importance we attach to providing the best possible service to our members – in the way we communicate with them and work closely with the Government on campaigns which will ultimately deliver to both employers and jobseekers.”
The REC won both the Electronic Communications and Website categories last year so is hoping for a notable double in both of these. It also won the Membership Pack in 2007 and was the winner of the first Social Initiative Award in 2006 for its Diversity Pledge. It was also crowned Trade Association of the Year in 2007.
The Trades Association Forum was set up by the CBI to encourage the development and sharing of best practice among UK trade associations, while at the same time promoting their effectiveness to government, industry and the wider public.
The winners of the awards will be announced at the TAF’s Networking and Awards Dinner on July 29th.
