REC appoints new Chair of Childcare Sector Group
The REC is delighted to announce the appointment of Judith Ivers as the new Chair of its Childcare Sector Group.
Judith will play a central role in developing the reputation and professionalism of childcare recruiters. She will support the REC in promoting the group's lobbying campaigns, which continue to shape the future of the UK childcare industry.
Judith, who is passionate about childcare, has been an REC member for almost 20 years since founding her own childcare agency and is now Managing Director of North London Nannies and Lauvic Baby Sitting and Nanny Services.
Judith, who is CACHE qualified, launched a First Aid training school to raise awareness of the importance of health and safety skills and qualifications for professionals working with children and young people.
Of her appointment, Judith said: “Supporting parents back into employment is high on the government agenda and the childcare sector has a vital role to play in helping to achieve this. I look forward to working with the group in promoting members interests to government and the relevant industry bodies.
"It is a great privilege to be elected to chair the REC Childcare Sector Group. The group are committed to improving standards in childcare and attracting people to a career in the industry. As a member of the group, I understand the importance of promoting best practice and sharing knowledge with other members in the industry.”
