REC appoints new Chief Executive

The REC is delighted to announce the appointment of Kevin Green as its new Chief Executive.

Kevin is joining the REC after four and a half years as HR Director of the Royal Mail, an organisation with 165,000 staff and an annual turnover of £7.2 billion.

Prior to that, he ran his own HR consultancy Qtab for 12 years whose clients included Unilever, First Choice, Fuji and Orange.

Of his appointment, Kevin said: “It is a wonderful opportunity to be joining such a successful organisation as the REC at a particularly challenging time for the recruitment industry with so much new legislation currently under scrutiny, especially on issues such as temporary workers.

“It is my intention to ensure that we continue to act on behalf of our members and indeed the whole recruitment industry to ensure our voice continues to be heard by all key stakeholders such as Government, the EU and business.

“Through offering the best possible representation, we can take both the REC and recruitment industry to the next stage of its development.”

Angela Masters, the REC’s Chairman of the Board, said: “Though it has taken us a long time to arrive at announcing new CEO, we believe that Kevin was the right person for this crucial role. With his background in HR and business development, he will certainly bring a new dynamic to the way in which the REC enhances its service to members. We all look forward to working with him.”

Kevin begins his new post with the REC on Monday June 2nd, the first day of its flagship event, National Temporary Workers Week.
