Five members of Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP) were awarded Honorary Fellowships at the Recruitment and Employment Confederation’s (REC) 2012 Annual General Meeting yesterday.
The IRP Honorary Fellowship scheme recognises individual recruiters who have made an outstanding contribution to the industry over the course of their careers. To be considered for the award this year’s honourees first had to be nominated by three other IRP members and be able to demonstrate both their exceptional personal contribution and a significant track record of working on behalf of the REC, IRP and the industry.
This year’s IRP Honorary Fellowships were awarded to:
• Les Berridge, Matchtech
• Roger Englefield, Pertemps
• Jenny Warner, Charisma Charity Recruitment
• Helena Austin, HJA Training
• Angela Masters, A+A Recruitment
Commenting after the presentation REC chief executive Kevin Green said:
“It was a great pleasure to officially recognise the hard work and dedication of these individuals with an Honorary Fellowship of our Institute. As we all work together to promote professionalism in our industry it’s important that as well as tackling underperformance we also make time to celebrate the achievements of our industry’s real stars.”
The IRP awards up to five Honorary Fellowships each year. Visit our dedicated webpage for more information on the scheme, including how to nominate someone.
