Last week
Last week included further discussions with Government Procurement Service and Cabinet Office – including the crown Representative for SMEs – on proposed new procurement procedures. We took forward member proposals for segmenting the market and applying different procedures to higher skilled roles. Updates will be provided to REC members over the coming weeks.
Meetings of the REC Drivers and Industrial sector included a keynote presentation by the Chair of the Gangmaster Licensing Authority. The latest meeting Employment Policy Committee agreed some key industry messages ahead of our meeting next week with the Employment Relations Minister Norman Lamb.
April has been a good month for media coverage – higher volume than in both February and March with 15 broadcast appearances. Including positive interview on BBC News 24 on the latest JobsOutlook.
