Public sector resourcing - REC Education meeting to explore the role of recruiters in evolving education landscape
Next week’s REC Education meeting will explore what recent changes in education mean for the recruitment industry with a range of external experts. Speakers include the head of the new Teaching Agency, who will update members on changes to the regulation of teachers.
Speaking ahead of the meeting, Dr John Dunn, Chair of REC Education, says:
"From developments in vetting and barring to the launch of the Teaching Agency, there are wide ranging changes in education which are having an impact on the way recruitment agencies operate. This meeting will provide an invaluable opportunity to take stock of the current situation and to explore how the recruitment industry is adapting to the evolving educational landscape."
"Recruitment agencies play a vital role in supplying suitably qualified and properly vetted teaching staff to schools. We are delighted to welcome the head of the new Teaching Agency to our meeting and will continue to work in partnership with key Government and employer bodies across the sector to improve standards."
The REC Education meeting is taking place on April 18th (2pm to 4.15pm) at the Holiday Inn Oxford Circus. For more information on the REC Education meeting, visit: http://www.rec.uk.com/events/event1651?keyword=&type=&category=&offset=0
