AWR latest – final model contracts go live today

Released on 1 August 2011

The REC today (Monday August 1) publishes the second batch of its suite of AWR compliant model contracts.

These model contracts are a key component of the Your AWR Advisor Toolkit which was launched last Tuesday as the final phase of the REC’s campaign to help its members prepare their staff, agency workers and clients for the implementation of the Regulations on October 1 this year.

These documents include Contracts 3-8 (PAYE and inside IR35 contracts) plus the Swedish derogation contract, (client and employee terms). They are supplemented by the Key Changes document and are all now available for Corporate Members to download.

Commenting on their publication today, Lewina Farrell, the REC’s Head of Professional Services, said:

“It has been a mammoth task for our legal team to bring up to date all the model contracts to make them AWR compliant. We had been working on the contracts for some considerable time to ensure they were all fit for purpose for our members. The contracts released today are for those workers who will be agency workers for the purposes of the AWR.”

Lewina Farrell has advised recruiters in Northern Ireland that they would be receiving their final documents once the Department of Employment and Learning (DELNI) has finalised its AWR guidance.

Copies of the model documents are available free to Corporate Members as part of the REC’s Your AWR Advisor Toolkit by visiting www.rec.uk.com/awr
