IRP event a great success with West Midlands recruiters

The Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP) held it second successful regional event this week with a presentation on how to be successful in business and life by Derek Arden to West Midlands’ region members in Birmingham.

A total of 15 members attended this, the second in a series of pilot seminars which are being held in the regions, the first in London a fortnight ago attracting 34 IRP members.

Hosted by Susie Ankrett, IRP Director for the West Midlands region, members said afterwards they found Derek’s style of presentation to be engaging, interesting and vibrant.

Commenting on the event, Matt Dawson, Head of IRP, said:

“We are thrilled with the reaction and feedback we have received so far from our members as a result of these events.

“These events will be an integral part of the IRP’s activities in the regions to provide networking opportunities and also provide them with quality speakers who can give them new insights and guidance as to how they can develop themselves further as recruiters no matter what stage they are at in their career.

“This comes at a very exciting time for the IRP with the launch of the new qualifications this week which are all geared towards further enhancing the reputation and professionalisation of recruiters.”
