AWR latest - REC takes message to HR community

As part of its AWR campaign, the REC is seeking to challenge misconceptions among employers about the impact it will have on them and so hs been working closely with the HR press to achieve this.

People Management was present at the REC's National AWR Summit on Thursday attended by 400 delegates comprising recruiters,  their clients and major employers such as Santander, BT and Allied Bakeries.

Tom Hadley, the REC's Director of Policy and Professional Services was then invited to appear in People Management HR talk video, giving a brief overview of what HR professionals and employers need to know about the regulations and their use of agency workers.

Commenting on the video and its aims, Alison Henderson, the REC's Press Manager, said:

"It is vital that we continue to engage with different media across all sectors to raise awareness of the Regulations ahead of implementation on October 1 this year.

"The role of recruiters is crucial in helping their clients prepare for the changes ahead. So the chance to participate in videos such as this also sends out the broader message about  the added value that recruitment agencies can bring in helping employers build flexibility into their workforces."
