REC says farewell to Fiona after 12 years of service

Released on 25 August 2010

After 12 years service, Fiona Coombe, the REC’s Director of Professional Services, will be leaving the organisation this month to pursue other interests.

The REC is sad to see such an able and committed leader moving on but recognises her desire to something new and exciting in her career.

Fiona started in 1998 with FRES, the REC’s predecessor organisation, and under her leadership, the REC’s legal services have expanded to become a unique offering for both Corporate Members and members of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP)..

She established the REC’s legal helpline in 2004, a free and unlimited resource for members. As a champion of professional standards and practical legal support, a large part of the success of the REC’s professional services is down to Fiona’s drive and enthusiasm.

Commenting on her contribution to the organisation, Angela Masters, Chair of the REC said:

“Fiona has been a wonderful servant of the recruitment industry and the REC during the past 12 years and has been a joy to work with. We wish her all the best and will continue to use her expertise to the benefit of members, albeit in a different guise.”

The REC Council and management team wishes Fiona future success and publicly want to thank her for her hard work, dedication and professionalism.
