Who is Eligible?
REC Individual Membership is for all professional recruiters within the recruitment industry. There are three levels of membership each with a different criteria. If you wish to register your staff onto the programme, please read below to see which level they are eligible for. You may find that your staff are eligible for various levels of membership, which can be accommodated for.
AREC
AREC Affiliate level is tailored to those in the industry that have less than 10 years experience or have not yet gained an REC professional qualification. A recruiter can be an Affiliate for life if they wish, or become eligible to upgrade to MREC when they have 10 years industry experience or have successfully completed an REC professional qualification.
MREC
MREC Membership level is available to those in the recruitment industry that either hold an REC professional qualification such as the Certificate in Recruitment Practice, or those that have been in the recruitment industry for 10 years or more.
FREC
FREC Fellowship of the REC can be achieved in a number of ways:
- 15 years experience in the recruitment industry.
- 10 years experience and the Certificate in Recruitment Practice.
- 7 years experience and the Diploma in Recruitment Practice.
- 5 years experience and the Degree in Recruitment Practice.
FREC applicants will also need to provide two written testimonials and a copy of their CV to support their application.
There are a additional criteria surrounding the IM 4 CM programme
- The company must be a Corporate Member of the REC
- Corporate Members enrolling their staff onto this programme will be given the % discount based on the number of staff enrolling onto the scheme at any given point in the year.
