Agency Office Worker of the Year
Gurdip Chauhan
Personnel & Care Bank, Coventry
Warwickshire office worker Gurdip Chauhan is in the running to be crowned One in a Million, the title given to the UK’s top temporary, contract or interim worker.
Gurdip has won the Agency Office Worker of the Year category of the One in a Million Award.
Nominated by Coventry recruitment consultants, Personnel Bank for whom he has worked for two years, Gurdip has been working on a long-term contract with global manufacturers 3M.
His role is to ensure the smooth running of some of 3M’s major client accounts within the company’s automotive division whose clients are known to be some of the most demanding due to strict deadlines and high quality standards.
Gurdip’s exceptional performance has enabled him to progress so that he now effectively manages the entire supply chain for these accounts.
Steph Walton from Personnel Bank said: “Gurdip is not entitled to the bonuses that his 3M colleagues receive. However, management held a meeting where it was decided that as Gurdip does such a good job managing his accounts and for his continued contribution to the business growth, he should be included in the bonus scheme.
“This proves he is considered to be a crucial team member who produces exceptional work and has the respect and appreciation of all those who work with him both internally and externally.”
Helen Reynolds, the REC’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer, said:“Gurdip proves that temporary workers can be outstanding in their respective fields, earning the respect of their permanent colleagues and indeed, reaping some of their rewards as a result."
