London editorial freelancer Sandre Blake is in the running to be crowned One in a Million, the title given to the UK’s top temporary, contract or interim worker.
Sandre has won the Marketing Media and Communications Contractor category of the One in a Million Award, highlight of National Temporary Workers Week.
Nominated by recruitment specialist pfj for whom she has been temping since December 2000, Sandre has so far completed 67 assignments with 21 clients, which have included the FT, Informa and the Royal College of Physicians.
Wayne Reynolds of pfj says her nomination is due to her consistent performance beyond the call of duty, her professional attitude to her work and her flexible approach to fit into the workplaces where she is assigned.
Helen Reynolds, the REC’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer, said: “Sandre clearly shows how contract work is a great way of widening your experience within a variety of workplaces and learning new skills.”
