Leicester industrial worker Martina Talarova has been voted one of the UK’s top temporary workers.

Martina was awarded the highly commended prize in the Agency Industrial Worker category of the One in a Million Award given to the UK’s top temporary worker.

Martina of Raymond Road, Leicester who is originally from Slovakia was nominated by recruitment agency, Horizon European of Leeds, for whom she has been working since September last year.

Her assignment with the agency has been with a team at IDS Logistics in Leicester managing stock for a high street store .

On a daily basis, Martina is responsible for a number of tasks such as Quality Control, inputting data, filing and archiving, co-ordinating other temporary staff and standing in as team leader.

Her motivation for temping is meeting new people and working in a multicultural environment to help her use and expand her knowledge of English.

Alicja Sobiesak of Horizon European said: “Martina always has shown she is keen to work and has a great willingness to learn. From the outset, she has developed to a level where she can undertake all tasks and does so with ease.”
