What it’s all about… 

If you're involved in training others, you'll know just how challenging it is. Some people have knowledge but are not effective at communicating it; others think that because they’ve seen someone else do it, they can do it just as well. To be a successful trainer you have to make your training ‘stick’ - it requires a special set of skills all of which are covered on this course.  

You’ll learn to… 

  1. Understand the concept of training and the benefits to both the business and the individual.
  2. Understand the importance of continuous professional development and how it complements the organisation’s workforce plan.
  3. Understand different learning styles and adapt their delivery and approach to facilitate effective individual learning.
  4. Understand the learning cycle and be able to identify and satisfy personal learning needs by designing, delivering and evaluating results focused sessions. 

Trainer support will be provided to enhance application of learning with practical exercises and discussion groups being used to allow individuals to practice their skills. Group participation, exercises and CCTV will also be used to enhance learning. 

Who’s it for? 

Those responsible for training others or existing trainers wanting to refresh their skills.
