Overview
The workshop is intensive and highly interactive. It is designed to guide and assist those people who wish to start their own recruitment agency future by providing them with a unique insight into the issues they will need to address in order to achieve a sound commercial enterprise.
Delegates will leave the course having met the following objectives and will be able to:
- Understand how to balance the responsibilities between the commercial, legal and ethical requirements of running a recruitment consultancy.
- Understand the nature of the recruitment market – its opportunities, rewards and pitfalls.
- Recognise the importance of creating market differentiation.
- Understand various financial issues and sources of support available, during the difficult start up phase of the business.
- Prepare a realistic Business Plan.
- Grasp the commercial aspects of running a successful recruitment business including selecting premises, marketing and administrative support systems.
- Fully understand the value of properly considered Terms of Business and how to apply them, including pricing the services offered and how to resist pressure to reduce margins.
- Appreciate the importance and value of measuring the key business and activity ratios and how to use them to encourage and develop staff performance.
- Structure and implement a motivational yet commercially viable commission system for staff.
- Understand the main legislation affecting the running of a recruitment consultancy.
- Understand and comply with discriminatory legislation throughout the recruitment process.
